Glass Options
The double-chamber glazing, combined with polystyrene insulation, reduces heat loss by 40–50% compared to standard exterior doors. The glass unit consists of three panes with two air chambers, delivering excellent thermal performance and enhanced noise reduction, including damping of low-frequency sounds such as traffic or construction. The anti-glare effect minimizes reflections in low-light conditions, ensuring clear visibility even at night.
The glass thickness is 1 2/3".
Clear glass provides full visibility, allowing an unobstructed view both inside and outside the home.
Frosted glass features a milky white, non-transparent finish that ensures complete privacy while still allowing light to pass through.
Mirrored glass with stop-vision technology:
- One-way visibility: A multilayer metallized coating (aluminum and silver) combined with a photochromic layer prevents visibility from the outside during daylight. At night, when interior lighting is stronger, the effect reverses – visibility is reduced outward while the interior remains visible.
- Clear interior view: Maintains natural transparency from the inside, allowing for excellent outward visibility and maximum daylight penetration.
- Safety and fire resistance: Tempered glass enhances durability and safety, with the ability to withstand direct fire exposure for 30 to 60 minutes.
Low-E Glass Technology
The innovative Low-E coating applied to the interior glass provides additional performance benefits:
- UV protection: Blocks up to 99% of ultraviolet rays, helping prevent fading of furniture, carpets, and interior finishes.
- Infrared reflection: Retains heat during colder months and blocks up to 70% of solar heat during warmer seasons, improving indoor comfort.
- Condensation reduction: Minimizes the cold glass effect and lowers the risk of condensation buildup.
- Eco-friendly performance: Supports reduced energy consumption and a lower carbon footprint.
- Visual clarity: Preserves natural transparency and accurate color perception.
Finishing
The doors are coated using an electrostatic powder coating process, followed by curing at 180–200°C. This method creates an exceptionally durable finish resistant to UV exposure and mechanical damage.
Transom and Sidelites (Optional)
Glass options for transoms and sidelites include clear, frosted, or mirrored glass with stop-vision technology.
Construction features glued timber with a thermal break, combined with a triple-glazed sealed unit consisting of two chambers for enhanced insulation.
Sidelite configurations:
- Single sidelite (frosted):
The door unit can be equipped with one decorative stationary sidelite, installed either to the left or right of the door. It features a glued timber construction with thermal break and a triple-glazed, double-chamber glass unit with frosted finish for privacy.
- Double sidelites (frosted):
The system can also include two sidelites positioned on both sides of the door. These stationary elements match the main structure, incorporating glued timber with thermal break and triple-glazed, double-chamber frosted glass units.
Hardware
The hardware package includes:
- Two concealed hinges, each supporting up to 80 kg, enhancing security and durability.
- A stainless steel threshold reinforced with a zinc-galvanized frame. Doors can also be equipped with a metal threshold extension featuring a bevel for effective water drainage.
Belldinni is among the first manufacturers in the United States to offer exterior doors with concealed hinges.
All doors come pre-cut for American standard locksets and deadbolts with a 2 3/4" backset.
Additionally, customers have complete flexibility in selecting hardware for Diamond doors, with options ranging from classic American handles to modern railing-style designs.
